#72…Al Skinner. Boston College.

The most high profile name to appear yet. Al Skinner has provided to be a consistent head coach at Boston College. On his resume are numerous NCAA Tournament appearances, a National Coach of the Year Award and Big East Coach of The Year, two times. His flex offense will provide problems to opponents year in and year out and he’ll get the most out of his players.

However, Skinner’s problems have been with the talent he brings in. Either by lack of effort or not connecting with highly ranked recruits, Skinner has not brought them to Chestnut Hill. Instead he has found diamond in the roughs like Craigh Smith, Jared Dudley, Troy Bell and Tyrese Rice. Which is fine, but when is the last time you remember a BC team having great depth?

To elevate a team to a national spotlight in college sports, recruiting is vital. And in this case, Skinner will always have a ceiling.

While his resume says better, If I want a college coach in control of my program as of right now, Skinner is a little further down on the list.
